A summer job in a bicycle shop turned into a lifelong vocation. I helped start The Broadway Bicycle School in Cambridge, MA in 1972, then worked in other shops. From 1987, I owned and operated Brookline Cycle Shop in Brookline, MA until I closed it in 1998. I recently returned to school to get a Master's in Library and Information Science at Simmons College (2004). I am currently employed at Everett's Parlin Library and Massasoit Community College.
I prefer to focus on the teaching of beginners, hoping to fan the flame of enthusiasm for fencing in the U. S. I hope to return to Coaches College in the future to work on the next level of coach's training.
